The Bristol Commuter Survey


This survey is for people working in Bristol. It is intended to help discover whether Bristol commuters would make use of a website that automatically finds a route between home and work that is specially made for cyclists. The survey will take about ten minutes to complete.

Example of a Route Finding Website

There are many route finding websites available, the majority concentrate on car journeys but recently Google have introduced a Walking option on their site. By selecting this option the site automatically re-routes the journey via quieter roads, this is someway towards what we are considering with a route finding site for cycling.

This is the route that google suggests to walk from Cabot Circus in central Bristol to the University of the West of England campus in Frenchay, as you can see it avoids the most direct major roads:
